Animals in cold weather - 1/19- 1/22

posted Jan 17, 2016, 6:20 AM by Claudia Peterson
When it gets cold outside we put on our coats. What do animals do in cold weather?  This week we will learn about hibernation, migration and adaptation.  We will also talk about animals that love the cold weather and live in a cold environment all year long.  We will measure ourselves against an Emperor penguin, try hibernating in our class cave and we end our week by going on a bear hunt!  Letter of the week is N and the number is 14.

Please continue to review with your child the numbers 1-14 as well as the letters to date and the sounds of these letters.

Last week we continued reviewing our birthdays.  Please do so at home.

Just a reminder - it is cold and flu season.  If your child has a fever they must be fever free for 24 hours before returning to school.
