Healthy Heart/Valentine's Day/President's Day

posted Feb 12, 2017, 9:04 AM by Claudia Peterson   [ updated Feb 12, 2017, 9:15 AM ]
As you can see from the themes above we are going to have a busy week. We will learn how to 'Eat Smart for a Healthy Heart' but will take a break to enjoy Valentine's Day. Towards the end of the week we will discuss President's Day and will be flipping pennies and quarters.  Last week the snow interfered with our celebration of the 100th day so on Monday we will do some projects we were unable to accomplish last week.   Letter of the week is V (we will erupt a volcano this week) and the number is 16.

We have made Valentine's Day bags and the children are looking forward to giving their classmates a valentine.  Please send the cards in on Tuesday.

Valentine's Day Hersey Bar Raffle - $1 a ticket - proceeds will benefit the Class of 2017

Phone numbers -
If your child has brought home their phone number sheet that means they know the number and will begin to learn their address. (If you have a different address than the one you registered your child with, please let me know) If your child has not brought home their phone number sheet that means we are still working on the number and please review number with them.

Thank you to the families who sent snacks in for the 100th day and an early thank you to the families who will be sending snacks in for Valentine's Day.

STEM Expo - Wed. 2/15 - Please see Family Folder for more info.
Winter break - 2/20 - 2/24 - school reopens on Monday, 2/27

Happy Valentine's Day!
