It is better to Give than to Receive - 12/5-12/9

I enjoyed seeing everyone at The Parent/Teacher Conferences!

As we prepare our hearts for Jesus we will discuss ways to give to others.  Through literature, The Little Drummer Boy, Auntie Claus, The Legend of the Evergreen, we will see that you do not have to give material things - in fact sometimes just a hug, being kind or a smile is even a greater present.  We will puzzle together a 'Giving Tree' - when someone spots a classmate giving to another (sharing, kindness, helping) they will put a red ornament on the tree.  Our goal is to have it full of ornaments by the end of Advent.  We will also make cards for a nursing home and we will start making  our Christmas presents for our families.  Letter of the week is M and we are focusing on learning the number 1-10 words.

We are still collecting gently used books for WIC.

Please save and send in Box Tops (see flyer in Family Folder)
